Redeployment of public sector employees in terms
of Article 16 of the Employment and Training Services Act

The requesting entity is to fill in and submit this formal request, channelled through the Office of the Permanent Secretary. The People and Standards Division will start the process only if the template is duly filled in and the information provided is correct and compliant with current standing provisions, as in force from time to time. Requests found to be incomplete and/or containing incorrect information will be refused right away.

This redeployment will be processed in accordance to existing procedures, whereby the employee will be redeployed according to the basic salary held at the releasing entity. The receiving entity shall match this basic salary according to the existing approved Grading and Salary Structure approved by the Industrial Relations Unit or the endorsed Collective Agreement.

Confirmation that the redeployment of the employee will be filling an unfilled vacancy in the requesting entity’s current HR Plan

Indicate the nomenclature as listed in the current HR Plan

Attach copy of declaration by employee consenting to the above two conditions

Has the employee consented to the fact he/she will be terminated from his/her employment with the mother entity and be redeployed with the requesting entity?

Has the employee consented to the fact that he/she will be redeployed with his/her current basic salary at the next best notch and that any allowances being received with the releasing entity will be forfeited? (This with the exception of the qualification allowance, if applicable)

Has the Permanent Secretary responsible for the requesting entity approved this redeployment?

Has the Head of requesting entity confirmed that:he/she authorises the redeployment of the employee in question in line with the details provided in the eForm and that funds are available?
