Mass redeployment of public sector employees in terms
of Article 16 of the Employment and Training Services Act

The requesting entity is to fill in and submit this formal request, channelled through the Office of the Permanent Secretary. The People and Standards Division will start the process only if the template is duly filled in and the information provided is correct and compliant with current standing provisions, as in force from time to time. Requests found to be incomplete and/or containing incorrect information will be refused right away.

This redeployment will be processed in accordance to existing procedures, whereby the employee will be redeployed according to the basic salary held at the releasing entity. The receiving entity shall match this basic salary according to the existing approved Grading and Salary Structure approved by the Industrial Relations Unit or the endorsed Collective Agreement.

Attach copies of Releasing and Requesting Entities' endorsed Collective Agreements/Industrial Relations Unit Grading and Salary Structure/Other IRU Approval making reference to the salary/benefits/allowances (as applicable).

Has the Head of the releasing entity confirmed that the employees were employed with the releasing entity in terms of Article 110(6) of the Constitution, i.e, through a public call or from the Jobsplus register?





Has the Permanent Secretary responsible for the releasing entity approved this redeployment?
